Comment Today

Today is the day to leave a comment :) Don't be Shy. I need your feedback.

I started this blog with the idea of talking about ways we save money while getting out of debt. However, now that we are a month through, I'm realizing that being on a strict budget means not spending money. I love writing about our free activities and fun meals, but I would love to write a few content pieces that would be helpful to you as a reader.

I am creating a writing calendar and list of things I want to cover in the blog. Over the next few months, I will be writing a piece on The Student Loan Battle on Capitol Hill, Federal Repayment Options, Volunteer Activities, Home Brewing, and of course the Month in Review posts.

I have set a goal for myself to write THREE posts a week, so what do you want to read about? Do you have a money saving tip, that you actually want tested?

Please share your thoughts and ideas. There is no stupid suggestion!!

Seriously... I am posting a picture of my participation in Free Cone Day from Ben & Jerry's yesterday to prove to you that ANYTHING can be suggested :)
Proceeds from Free Cone Day support the Lupus Foundation
Please leave your topic ideas below so that I can incorporate them into the blog.

I really look forward to your feedback and thanks for reading!

  1. I would like to see an article about refinancing student loan debt. That is something I don't know anything about.

So you get three thoughts then 1. I like Andy's comment, I am always curious how other folks are paying off their loans, 3. more pictures of your amazingness :)

    1. Jake, I may need to go through and do every single item on the list. It will be like a Buzz Feed Fail post :) Thanks for your comment and I will attempt to get to #3, but certainly #2. I will start researching and get back to you and Andy!!

  3. I'm really excited for your posts on volunteering. You find fun volunteer activities, and I would love to hear more about resources to find some/ways to get involved.

Also, now that the weather is improving, posts about fun (free/inexpensive ;)) outdoor activities would be great. Maybe places to explore by bike?

Thanks for all the posts. I'm looking forward to reading the next 33 as we get closer to summer!

    1. Hey Maura! Hope all is well :) I have another volunteer post going up Monday, and a few other opportunities lined up. I will try to incorporate ways to find out about these events in a future post.

I spent the whole weekend outside so thanks for the tip. I'll start adding places we go hiking and biking to the blog!

    2. Hi Monica!

Great Monday post. Hope you are holding your head high and that your brain isn't spinning too much with all the information you have culled this week.

Can't wait for the outdoor exposes! Stay warm! Talk soon!

  4. Hello, I'm late to the party, but I would like read some articles on the issue of living on credit cards. I find that many with student loans fall victim to living on credit. Or forebearing and deferring your student loans.

    1. Hey Terri! Thanks for reading and thank you for your comment. I will add this to my list of things to write about. I too found my credit card to be the answer to my "I need to Live Life" problem when all our income did not equal our expenses. I will write up a piece on how we tackled this problem, and to this day STRUGGLE with the 'charge it' mentality!
